My parents gave me a Wakmann Chronograph as a high school graduation present in 1971. It has the Valjoux cal. 730 movement. Inside the case on the back it has Gigandet Wakmann. I would like to try and get the watch running again. Plus I would like to know more about this Wakmann company and a little more about their history. If anyone could possibly send me any information or maybe links that would direct me in that direction I would be very grateful. I live in the Richmond, Va area.

Wakemann was bought out by Breitling. Wakeman bought out Gigandet.

Wasn't Mr. Wakmann the U.S. distributor for Breitling?
