I have a chronographe suisse with a landeron 48 movement. The spring that makes the top chrono buttom pop out again is broken. Can this part be replaced, eg. someone who has this part ? It works without it, but would prefer it to work properly.

Thanks
A

Thanks - but I dont't know the name of the broken spring. In the attached phote the tweezers points to where its fastened, and you can also see a small part of the broken spring. What is it called ?

The part you are pointing to does not effect the operation of the pushers. It is the minute recorder jumper. All that does is prevents the minute recorder hand from moving around by itself.

Don't know if Zaf can do the repair on the Landeron, but if he cannot, then I would recommend Craig Bergsma at Chronodeco.

He did a very nice job for me in restoring a similar watch to yours.

Take care,

My guy can repair Landerons, but unless it's a nice gold one, it probably isn't worth getting too deep into them, unless it has sentimental value. Looks like the return spring is weak (it's a bent wire on these movements). If that's all that is wrong with it, it isn't a big deal, but not having the minute recorder jumper can cause the chrono to lock up. These were not high quality movements to begin with.
