Hi, I purchased a woman's Bucherer marcasite encrusted pendant watch at an estate sale. It has a clear dome back so you can see the movement. Would anyone be able to tell me around when it might have been made and how much it might be valued at. I have no interest in selling this as it is very unique and I love it. I am just very interested in learning more about it as I haven't been able to locate another on the net or in any antique/vintage book. Thanks.

Interesting watch. I'd guess late 1940s, judging by what the movement looks like. Bucherer is a Swiss retailer, sort of like the US Tiffany. They bought watches and put their name on them. As far as value, something like this is, even though it is a cool piece is generally low, < $100-150. |
