Hi there:

I am also looking for info on the Hallmark Watch Corp. I have a mint condition Vulcain 120 movement in a perfect 10k goldfilled Wadsworth case. The inner side of the back case is Marked Wadsworth and Vulcain. The movement and dial is marked Hallmark Watch Corp. I found at a German watch site that the Hallmark Watch Corp. was based in Chicago Illinois and may have had something to do with Waltham as it closed it shops around 1957. Boy is this alarm loud!!

Any info about Hallmark and while we are at it Wakmann Watch Co. From what little I can gleem the Wakmann Watch Co. was listed on the NYSE which allowed Brietling to market their watches in association with Wakmann. Something to do with the import duties of the 40 and 50's imposed on Swiss imports.

I have two Wakman V72c triple date triple chronographs both movements marked Wakmann and WOG the Breitling stamp. The 737 aircraft I fly also has 8 day Wakmann / Breitling chronos.

Cheers

Sounds like you know already more than we do!

What you have sounds like an American cased Vulcain Alarm that has been re-badged Hallmark for some reason, most likely it was used as a dept. store brand for one of the big stores.
