I have an Enicar incablock 147-01-09. the face and day date appear to have shifted 90 degrees (see picture) it was purchased new in 1971 (I think) Is this a common occurence,? was it made like this? if not can it be placed back in the niormal position, apart from a few sctratches on the back its works well and in great thanks condition |

Hard to say if it was made like this. There are several manufacturers that have made dial shifted watches like this with the idea that when you are in the "driving position" of a car, boat, etc, you can read the time without taking your hands off the wheel. I have not seen an Enicar version, the only way you'll be able to tell if that is how it came is to take the dial off and see if the dial feet which secure it to the movement are still there. |

If I do this won't I disrupt the waterproofing? the watch has been like this since new, that I know at least. thanks Steve |

If you know it's been like that since new, then don't open it. I need to know what you're doing to take a dial off to look at the dial feet. Also, if it's on the original rubber gaskets, it no longer is "water proof" |
