Hi, I have a friend who has this pocketwatch that does not give much info about itself but this is what I have: Engraved on the watch works: 1) Golden State Express (with a engraving of a train) 2) Swiss 3) 172654 4) S adjusted F Engraved on watch case: 1) Silverode (with a Crown engraving) 2) 970135 Here is what little I know about it. I believe the Golden State Express ran between 1920-1330's. Silverode is an zinc or magnisium alloy that minmics silver. The numbers are most likely serial numbers. The watch face has ruby like lenses over the numbers??? If the numbers are serial numbers I've tried Elgin but it dated it like in 1876??? Doesn't sound right but maybe. If anyone can point me to a pocketwatch database that would be great. Thanks Terry |

I don't think you're going to find anything. Your best bet is to try to identify who made the movement and take it from there. A better photo of the movement would help. |

I have an Enicar incablock 147-01-09 Waterproof Durit. the day date is at 6 o'clock but the dial and day date appear to have been rotated 90 degrees because you must have the winder at the top to correctly read the day date. it is approx 32 years old. any clues or comments |
