I have a small vintage lady's watch, 14K gold (case and back), 17 jewels, with the brand name "Hallmark Watch Corp". Has anyone ever heard of that company? The words "Lapwell 14K gold" are on the inside back. I'd like to get it repaired but don't know where parts could come from. [email protected]

Hi. Probably not worth very much, close to gold content + say $40-50. So, unless there is sentimental value it isn't worth the trouble to get it going.

I have a Swiss - Pronto womans watch - white gold/platinum? with 18 round and 4 square diamonds and a stretch stainless band. It does not currently run. It belonged to my Mother-in-law so I am interested in getting it repaired if it has any value. Do you have any information on this type of watch? Or recommendation for where to get it repaired? I live in the south suburbs of Chicago. Thank you I have enclosed a photo.

Most ladies watches of less known name brands will be valued at the scrap value of the metal and the diamonds + say $30-$50 assuming it is running, so that were we'd stand with this one. There simply is not a huge demand for this kind of thing as most collectors are men.

Hi there:

Also looking for info on the Hallmark Watch Corp. I have a mint condition Vulcain 120 movement in a perfect 10k goldfilled Wadsworth case. The inner side of the back case is Marked Wadsworth and Vulcain. The movement and dial is marked Hallmark Watch Corp. I found at a German watch site that the Hallmark Watch Corp. was based in Chicago Illinois and may have had something to do with Waltham as it closed it shops around 1957. Boy is this alarm loud!!
Any info about Hallmark and while we are at it Wakmann Watch Co.

Cheers
