I have one ... from my father that he said he bought in a German PX during WWII. 18k and a beautiful design.

I'm tryimg to find some info about it also - that's how I got to your message.

I own a Wema gold chronograph, bought in Prague for about $550 US.
It is a really nice watch and was running smoothly, until unfortunately the knob for winding off of the stem (sorry not technical) fell off and was lost.

I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to fix it.
