movado watch

Have an opportunity to pick up this watch for $500. Movement is mechanical but uncertain how many jewels. The face of the watch has 4 diamonds along the top and 4 diamonds along the bottom. The band has 25 diamonds, a double clasp, and a safety chain. I have had a respected jeweler check the entire watch and everything was said to be in good working condition but he was unsure of an appraisal. Any help would be appreciated.

It's 14K white gold with a total of 2 carats of diamonds. I really just want to know if there's any value aside from the stones and gold because it's in great condition and the jeweler thinks it's all original. Not trying to make any money , but thought it would be a nice gift for my wife and a conversation piece, but don't want to overpay. Any help is appreciated.

The watch shown in pictures doesn't have anywhere near 2 carats of diamonds. With typical 3 point stones surrounding the bezel and 2 point stones on the bracelet, you'd have about 3/4 carat total weight.

Yeah the estimate of carat weight was from the seller, not the jeweler. Forgot to even ask him. Any input with regards to a fair price or value of the watch?

You could pick similar watches up at auction these days for $250-$300.
