Chronocentric.com: I am very sad to share this

I am very sad to share this, but the renowned expert on fine choronographic watches and creator of the highly respected http://www.ChronoCentric.com website and set of forums, Mr. Derek Ziglar, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Saturday, May 29, 2005 (confirmed by the New Mexico Suicide Survivors Support Group at 800-432-5239). Derek is survived by Ms. Stella Ziglar and by both parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Martha Ziglar, of Atlanta, Georgia.

Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to Dereks wife, Stella, his mother and father, Jim and Martha, to the rest of his family, and to his many friends, admirers and supporters in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Atlanta, Georgia, as well as around the country and world.

In addition to his deep love and thoughtfulness for his family and friends, Derek gave himself freely and caringly to anyone in need of help with any of his many areas of expertise. Derek genuinely loved to help people. His great intellect, wit and thoughtfulness will be sorely missed Derek will be missed. He truly made a difference.

Thank you to Mr. Jeffrey M. Stein (http://www.onthedash.com) and Mr. Chuck Maddox (http://onthedash.com/thanks.shtml) who have agreed to take on www.ChronoCentric.com and to perpetuate Dereks work by keeping the ChronoCentric website up and running.

A Google search on Derek Ziglar plus Santa Fe and then on New Mexico offers a number of posts Derek made in the last year on various political and social topics. A search on Derek Ziglar plus chronograph yields many links to his posts on his passion for chronographic watches. Similarly, a search on Derek Ziglar plus Atlanta yields older links from his years in Atlanta, Georgia. Derek was a computer genius with broad expertise in website design and development, Information Technology, Information Systems, advanced relational database administration, spreadsheets, and you name it...
