Hi,
Would like some help to ID my watch.

My Jeweller states that it is an example from the art deco period, and states that the movement was replaced with a modern one from the 50s.

I have uploaded some pics below, was wondering if anyone out there knows what the original calibre the original movement would have been.

The current (new) movement is a 15.18 - is there any compatible movement from the 1920s that would suit my watch?

The watch probably originally used a caliber 7.48 movement. These aren't particularly expensive or hard to find if you follow online watch auctions. Donor watches with the correct movement can be picked up for a resonable price.

Nice watch. The incompetent "watchmaker" that did the incorrect movement swap should be hung. Looks like they also swapped out the original hands (likely blued steel) for gold hands that came from the incorrect donor movement.
