I inherited an 18K gold Rolex Oyster perpetual watch, in very good condition. Case is marked "Brevet 6285", and S/N 988XXX. Not a date-adjust. Anyone know about this model? When made? Is it a special model for Brevet? It was bought in Europe, about 1957. Also, the 18K gold bracelet does not have a Rolex crown, or any other indication that it is a Rolex bracelet. Any info on this?? |

Seems to be a late 1950s watch. "Brevet" means patent in French, probably refers to the Oyster case design. I'd expect a Rolex Bracelet to be signed, so it's probably after market. Zaf |
