Hi, Wondering whether you might have some info on a Universal that I recently purchased. I'm interested in date of manufacture, maker of movement (was it UG or someone else), and how UGs of this era ranked in terms of quality compared with, say, Omega, Longines, Movado, LeCoultre, Eterna...Also curious what it would cost to buy another one. I don't have the capability to send a picture, but it is a 17j, bumper auto, with subsidiary second hand and date. On the case back are the numbers 200101, 1594316. Thanks, Ron |

The UG's of the era compare with Omega, Longines & Movado. The chronographs esp the complicated ones are very collectible. The best thing to do, is right UG if possible via email to see if they can't tell you more about your watch, most manufacturers are cooperative, I don't have production date look ups for UG so that would be your best bet. |
