I am looking for any info, pictures, ect. on watches sold in the 1940's with the jewelers name "FLATO" on the dial. As far as I know, the watches were made by Schultz. One model (the only one I have actually seen a photo of) winds at 12 and has a rectangular hinged case. Flato was my great uncle and obviously I am interested in the fact that someone in my family sold watches with their name on the dial. Any info would be great.
Thanks, Joel Simon

Paul Flato was a very famous jewelry designer of the 1930's and '40s. First he operated a store in los angeles and later moved his store to NYC. When verdura came to theis country he first worked for Flato. Flato was known for creating pieces for famous celebrities. Onw of his most famous clients was Cole Porter.
