I hope someone can tell me a little more about my grandmother's watch. It is marked Mido, and Powerwind, and is very delicate, with a very small round face, beveled crystal, i think ten teeny diamonds (five on each end of the case). The case is marked 14K GOLD and it white gold. I don't know if the band that is on it now is original, although it looks like it might be. It is a slender expansion type band, silver-colored on each edge and looks like black enamel in the middle. There are two lines of tiny type on the back of each link - i don't have a magnifying glass, so I am not sure what it says.

I'd like to keep and wear this, but am not sure if it is worth taking to get cleaned up, etc.

If it's the steel model, if it's a small one, it's probably worth $175 or so. So you're sort of on the limit of it being worth fixing up to make it a runner. I you love the watch go for it, if not, just leave it.
