I know that in england, from time to time, they make an unrestored watches meeting, for trading and selling. What about the U.S.? i'm sure most of us have hundreds of parts just waiting for that right piece to come along.

The U.S. shows have a mix of both "unrestored" watches and "restored" watches. Though, if I understand your question, most fall under the "unrestored" category, all are sold in an "as is" format.

However, parts for watches as stand alone movements, for anything worth while are getting very difficult to find.

NAWCC. The best shows are:

1. Orlando
2. National
3. Detroit/Dearborn

the rest are smaller and would be worthwhile only if your can get there cheap.
