Need help with Omega watch

Posted on Monday, December 01, 2008 - 03:35 pm:    I am looking to purchase my first vintage watch, but am looking for some information. I found a watch that I am interested in, but I am wondering if it is worth purchasing. The description from the seller is that it is hand wound Omega movement (17.8 SC) dates this watch to about 1939. Would this be a good buy? If so, what price should I expect to pay?
