Hello, we've recently found a Longines pocket watch, sterling silver case (we think), and serial #3151301. How does the back open and should this be attempted at home? There's a spot for prying on the back lid but we're afraid to apply pressure... We're trying to figure out where this watch was purchased if possible. Any guidance is appreciated. |

A razor blade of sharp pocket knife should do the trick. |

It either screws on or snaps off. If the shape of the case is octogonal, I'm almost certain it snaps off, so you'll need a sharp blade to pry it open. |
