I am looking to understand the difference between these two movements (if any) to try to better value a particular watch...any info would be helpful.

I checked the bestfit manual and the 730 does not appear so it is a relatively modern movement, say after 1970. What kind of watch is it in? 3 registers?

730 is a lower grade version of 72.

730 is a valjoux 72 with day-date,i've seen this caliber frequently in wakmann chronographs
