Hi, I found an Omega Speedmaster cal.861 (moon watch) many years ago & was woundering if it was worth fixing it. The outside is a bit rough & the inside slightly dirty & 1 of the hands has come loose & It still keeps perfect time. can anyone tell me if it looks o.k. & would it be worth fixing? Thanks

Hi Zaf, can u tell me if the stainless stain can be polished to get the scraches out. there are a lot of scraches all over it. If so what would be a rough price to polish. Eddie |

Yes, most shops would charge something of the order of $50 to detail the case. Some include that in the price of their overhaul (I do that, but leave the case polish as an option as some collectors prefer unpolished cases). |

Can you also tell me about my Omega seamaster calendar. Whats your opinion on the dial is it cleanable or not, also do u think i can get the back cover fixed. it looks to me that someone tried to take the cover off themselves.

one more thing, what type of gold is it? The stamp on the body is unreadable. Thanks. Eddie |
