Titan watches in India have new model called Octane, and the speciality is it has Chronograph. Now, 'chronograph' is a word familiar with watches since when they started making pocket and wrist watches. Could somebody explain in detail what chronograph means? and on the outer dial is mentioned Tachymeter. What does it too mean? | ||

 can you tell me about this watch ..i cant find it any where..it a swiss seth thomas chronograph with tackymeter..im tring to find when it was made..value ..year .and how many where produced..the model number is 720-9129.602and the number327702 is etched in the back ..could be a production number ..not sure ..can you help? rob | ||

A chronograph is a watch that tells time and also has a stop watch function. A tachymeter is a scale, on the dial, that enables you to tell how many "units per hour" of a particular event occur. For example if you were driving on the highway and timed how long it took to travel 1 mile with the chronograph, reading the tachymeter scale would give you your speed in miles per hour. | ||
