Hi Zaf, Do you have any idea on the value of a seamaster chrono, 1970, cal.1040. I have seen square dials and also round dials which are much better looking. Do you think their value is the same? By the way, thanks for keeping this space and for answering all of our questions. |

In my opinion, the value is about the same. Examples with bracelet get top dollar. Believe it or not, I don't see watches with 1040 movements that often and the watches tend to attract attention because of that. I don't think they'll be very very expensive one day since the movement finish is a little questionable, but there are not that many of these that circulate, so they do have a following. As for the space maintenance, it is a labor of love but I learn as much as anyone else, so well worth the time. |
