Sure I can! I've heard several stories on the Wakmann watches. Is it true that the company has been bought by Breitling and the used movement is the same as in Breitlings from those days? Can anyone date this particular watch? Most of the pictures of Wakmann watches I've seen show a little logo of two circles with a'W'. How come this has only one? On this watch, the word 'Wakmann' isn't 'printed' on the plate, but on a pice of shiny material, just as the abovementioned logo, and then 'glued on'. It almost seems as if they'd forgotten that, and added it later. Does anyone know why? Thanks in advance for your time & effort, |

My understanding was that "Wakmann" was the distributor for Breitling watches in the USA for a certain time. I have never seen any formal documentation regarding this or your theory either. The watch dates to 1970 or so, the dial looks to be refinished, so anything goes with regard to the print of the dial. |
