watch movement

My grandfather bought this watch for his father during World War II while he was stationed in Switzerland. The purchase was made sometime between 1945-1946 and was about $300. I have inherited the watch and was curious about the model and value. I have gone through several watch guides with no luck. Hopefully these pictures will allow some of you experts to identify it. Thanks for the help.

It's not going to necessarily have a model name if that's what you're after.
