This may seem like an odd question here, but an ancestor of mine was named Frederic Louis Courvoisier and was born in 1814 in Neuchatel, Switzerland. I was told that he came from a line of watch makers. Are there any history buffs out there that could tell me if this true? | ||

It's probably true, though there are many common Swiss names that almost always have a watchmaker in them. There are several Swiss genealogy sites available online that should be able to help you out. |
