I have just been handed a Rolex Pocketwatch in beautiful working condition. The lady that gave it to me said she bought it for her husband in 1957 when they were in Europe for their 20th anniversary. She's 97 now. Is there any great value to this, would anyone know? I just don't want to have anyone rip off the church when we go to sell it for them. I can send someone pics, but I don't know how to shrink them to get them on here, sorry. Thanks Peg |

What is the case made of? Most Rolex pocket watches are worth at least $400. |

How can I find out the material Zaf? It's not magnetic, at least to a light magnet. The front just says Rolex Precision. The bottom half is a seprate second hand circle all it's own. The numbers as well as the face are all sliver single lines except for the 12 position, that has 2 lines. I appreciate your help so much - thanks. |

It should be stamped inside the case back. What color is the case? |

Ahh, the case is silver, Stainless Steel I think. I'm taking to a local watch shop to get the back opened. I don't see any seam, but I'm sure it's there! I'll post as soon as I find out... thanks |

If it a plain looking steel pocket watch and in good condition, probably a $500-800 type thing. |

Ok, the back is off and says exactly: ROLEX 25 Records Universels Geneve.Suisse 1008015 3015 SAR on the rim of the back there are 3 marks. One is just the number 0 and about one inch away are two lines like 11. I tried to take pictures of it, but the swirls inside the back case of the watch cause my camera and eyes to breakdown. LOL The BACK of the watch itself is also polished and faceted to make it hard to photograph, but I did! Printed on that part is: FAB.SUISSE ELINVAR SPIRAL BREGUET 17 Rubis. Thanks for your help, now I have a rough idea on how to present this for sale as a donation to the church! I'll be watching and reading more in here because we have been given many watches of value to sell as donations to the church. I'll learn quickly about them! |
