Hi Zaf et al,

I'm very interested in this type of Movado (18K w/mirrored & textured dial + sub seconds). This particular one has a small stain around the center of the dial. Without knowing what caused the stain, is it possible to remove it without jeopardizing the integrity of the dial?

Movado 18K w/Textured Dial

Thanks for your help.

It's always a crap shoot trying to remove stains.
You can try "rodico" first, a green eraser type substance, just rub the dial very gently and see if it goes away. The next thing I'd try (which CAN RUIN THE DIAL) is putting it in an ultrasonic bath in short bursts of 15-30secs and drying them it in between. This can remove the lettering and dial varnish if it stays too long.

Thanks for the suggestions, Zaf. I know you don't do dial work, but can you recommend someone who you would trust?
