I found this and have questions: The dial is not like those in Zaf's book (although I found one that was identical that claimed to be authentic), the hands are not correct, and the case numbers do not match those in the book. I'm not sure what to think of it.

This is a refinished dial (by the Brits themselves), but genuine as are the hands. This was done to replace the radium present with tritium. Probably around 1960.

I'm not sure what numbers you are referring to as "not matching" though.

Thank you. The numbers I asked about are those on the case back, but maybe I did not understand the references in your book. You seemed to have very specific references to the numbers on the case, and these did not match, it seemed strange that they did not, but anything is possible, and I probably did not understand the references in the book, as well, the Army Serial #'s on page 105, which seemed very specific. After I posted this, I did find another thread about the refinished dial on the military forum. Thanks again, I always got to your book first, then the forum!
