I saw this advertised, and I am 98% sure that the dial is not original. Were any of the Powermatics printed without "Automatic" on the dial? The dial on this looks very plain for a European watch as well, but the printing that's there looks pretty good, actually. I passed on it (knowing there were no options for a purchase elsewhere on this website), but wanted to ask experts for confirmation out of interest. This one is not covered in Zaf's book as thoroughly as other models with dial photos. I've never seen a Powermatic without Automatic printed below the JLC script--it was such a big part of the branding for this watch. I realize the power reserve dial is not original.

Dial looks refinished to me. Is it 18k gold? |

Thanks, Zaf. It was stainless, and seemed to be a correct European case, marked only LeCoultre. |

I think that case is OK for the powerwind model. Just not as interesting as some other cases. If you can get the reference #, we can ask JLC if that made it that way. |
