I'm new to the forum and to fine watches in general, and I would like to know something about this old Jaeger Lecoultre.
The watch is in beautiful condition and works perfectly and the case is massive pink gold.
On the back there is a serial number (319409 A): should be possible to date the watch by that number?
Can you also tell me if you think the watch is original in all its parts?
My last question is whether anyone knows or would be willing to guestimate the approximate value of this watch.
Thank you VERY MUCH!

Fabrizio

The movement should be a Caliber P/480, number 376368

Hi it dates to approx. 1945-46. Dials on this model are almost never this perfect, so I would take a very careful look at it to see if it hasn't been repainted.

Thank you very much for these informations! I just want to add that the movement is a Caliber P/450 and not P/480 as I wrongly wrote in my previous post.
Please, can you tell me the approximate value of the watch (if the dial is original and also if it has been repainted)?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

If the dial is original, since it appears perfect, on my site it would be something I would expect to get $2000 for. If it is re-done, maybe $1500.

Looks like one of the JLC "Club" series watches. If that is what it is, it's one of their lesser collectibles, as the movements are not made by JLC.
