I was given a Gruen Curvex from my father a few years ago. I have looked around online but am not sure what I have. The face says Gruen Curvex and has all the numbers (no dots or roman numerals). It is 55mm from tip to tip. The back says Gruen, W 10k gold filled. The inside says 10k filled with the numbers L301242 and 370 600. The mechanism says Gruen, precision, 17 (numbers not written) jewels, switzerland and one or two things so small I could not make them out. The band says Hanwood, 1/20, 12k tops, stainless backs. Where can I find more information on when it was made and where would be best to have it cleaned and serviced? | ||

I'm not aware of published serial #s that will aloow you to accurately date it. However, if it is 55mm in length it's very desirable and worth quite a bit. I can have it serviced for you, but we're on a 4 week backlog right now. Zaf | ||

Yes, the movement number is 370, which was the last version of the Curvex movement. | ||

I hit "post message" too soon. The 370 movement was produced from about 1948 to about 1958. |
