Hello. I just bought a "vintage 7733 Wakmann 17 Jewel Chronograph" on ebay. I got it and it shows NO signs of wear or age, inside or out. Can someone help? It is marked Wakmann 17 Jewels Incabloc on the dial (which is spotless); movement is marked Aureole Watch Co. 7733 R Swiss; Back is Fond Acier Inoxydable Swiss Made 332 23; Inside back is Le Jour Time Co. Swiss. It has not age, no wear, no marks by a jeweler who might have serviced it. Here is the ebay link:http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Wakmann-7733-17-jewel-chronograph-NR_W0QQitemZ260370 334740QQihZ016QQcategoryZ31387QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem And here is another ebay link for a very similar watch:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230330723089&_trksid=p2759.l1 259 Can anyone tell me if this is a Chinese knock-off, a Hong Kong Special, or actually a Swiss-made chrono? And from what you can see, is the movement any good? thanks, dja |

They are both Swiss made chronos, the first may be a marriage of more than one watch, possibly the second as well. Best not to post live auctions on this site, thanks. |

Sorry, I only wanted to provide some pictures--I didn't want to advertise for ebay! Are these brand new movements? How would you rate their quality? |

They're cheaper circa 1970s watches. That era of Swiss production is not one of my favorites. |
