I've had this Omega for a long time. Got it from a great Uncle who was a jeweler. I know that the se-thru glass back is almost definitely not original I will say the bezel matches up with the crystals bezel. However-the serial # dates this watch as fairly old and the dial just doesnt seem to go with the movement. I am not an Omega expert. The owner of Dalor watch {as far as my experience goes-an honest reputable vintage dealer} was very interested in this watch. He thought it looked all good except for some reason he kept asking for a photo of the case back and I kept telling him it was in the photos but was glass with chromed bezel. So, i guess it was a language misunderstanding. Does the glass back make this a completely illegitimate Omega? The dial? Is it a known dial? Etc, Any info would help. Keeps perfect time.

I have a mac. I uploaded images as med-small jpegs but sometimes folks cant open them. The serial # of this Omega is:3578654. Dial looks similar to an Omega dial thats 'deco' and may be called a california or hollywood? Again-sorry. Not too sure about this. I can e-mail pics to anyone who cares or who know a lot about ?

40mm lug to lug, 32-33 diameter not inclding crown which is not signed. I was told this watch was supposedly from the late 20s-early 30s. I dont know much about older Omega movements. I looked it up once only by serial # and it came up as VERY old-early 20s or late teens? The case is truely beautiful, minty, not worked on or over polished and the fancy style lugs really make the case. Did Omega make pocket watch movements this small? Also-can you see the photos? I have more if it would help. The only detail that my camera did not pick up is on the central white circle on the dial. Its silver with finely engraved vertical 'hash' marks. A design of some sort for sure but it catches the light at times. My problem has always been that the case and dial seem too new for the serial #. Other than that-It keeps amazing time, is in near mint condition and was told by a few vintage experts who couldnt help with the serial but thoght the dial was all original. As for the glass back? Ive wondered if it was ever a fashion of sorts to have a display back made? I can tell you also that the bezel that holds the back display glass, if it was hand made, the angle is the exact same angle as the front bezel retaining the crystal {by micronometer], The display back glass is old,{ tell-tale wavyness} while the crystal is an old resin/acetate replacement. I really like this watch. It gets more comments than most of my 'icon' watches. But I am totally prepaired to hear anything from- its assembled from many parts to -as you suggested- its a small, old pocket watch convrsion placed in a newer 'deco' case. But Zaf-I dont know you except for your reputation from months of reading forum.-i know you are one of if not the #1 expert, especially on forgery and fakes. I'm not worried about it being a fake because I didnt by it as any particular model. Just look at the lugs closer and the detail on the dial if possible. I wrote here because I believe you are probably the last best hope of getting a brutally honest opinion and hopefully maybe not so brutal. Value is not an issue. I was offered $250 once and $1000 by another vintage watch dealer who I think thought it was some really rare model from the 30s. It was never really for sale though. . So- thank you. d.atticus baeker

It looks like a re-case of some kind...the dial & case style do not correspond to the date of the movement. The dial has been refinished as well. I can't tell without seeing it in person if anything other than the movement are Omega.
