hi zaf. i was fascinated by the dial on this online offering of a cyma pw, vintage 1910-20, from a seller in bulgaria. the dial seems so modern in its design, though, and the movement has only the old cyma logo and nothing else-no caliber, no swiss-made signature and apparently no jewels (except maybe on the balance wheel bridge). also the case apparently is unsigned. i had to move on this and bought it for less than $200, mainly because the dial seemed so unusual. seller said it was recently serviced and keeps good time. what's your opinion of its pedigree? thanks. (i couldn't get the "upload attachment" feature here to work, so have to provide links.) http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd207/inkboy1/?action=view¤t=17da_1.jpg http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd207/inkboy1/?action=view¤t=18b9_1.jpg http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd207/inkboy1/?action=view¤t=18fa_1.jpg |

It's probably legit, albeit a low grade 7 jewel movement most likely. Hope you didn't pay too much. |

it was about $130. i'm nuts about cymas and i can't really explain why. i love the quality of the work. any idea when they because "singapore cymas?" i bought a nice oyster-style cyma watch with a 2824-2 movement that i really dig. it is quite well made. don't know if its asian or swiss (aside from the movement). same thing with my pronto tropic master (also 2824-2 mvmt), which i'd thought was old enough to have been swiss-made, but i don't know... |

Sorry, no info on when they became SG Cymas. Most of the cases are made in Asia these days anyways. |
