I see a deep scratch on the glass of my new Rolex Date-Just2 (just top-right of the center). The reason I am concerned weather its real or not because I purchased this watch about 35% lower than the actual retail price. Please let me know if my watch is genuine. Thanks in advance.

It looks fake. Which case reference is it claiming to be? |

Zaf, Its reference 116333. And I am curious to know what attributes makes it look fake.

Apologies, if it's that new (probably around 2008), then it's probably OK. My eyes are trained from much older models. Why don't you just take it to a Rolex dealer for a check? |

Zaf, I bought it in 2012. My wife wears a diamond bracelet all the time and I think I might have got that scratch from her but I am not sure. There are no Rolex Dealers nearby where I live. However, I took it to a watch dealer who sells omega's and stuff. He made a few calls before giving me a decision that my watch was real. I also got the gold checked on the bezel and bracelet that too is 18karat. Zaf, do you find any attributes that creates doubt about the authenticity of this watch? If so, I will be glad if you could share it with me. Thanks. |

I think it's OK, what threw me off is that I was looking at it from the "older model" angle in which case the proportions are totally wrong. If an Omega dealer looked at it and thought is is genuine, he's probably right. |
