I am trying to find out more information about about a J. Auricoste Chronograph that my father recently gave me. Marking on the back of the case is MINISTERE DE LA GUERRE No 601. My father thinks it from WWI.

Any advice on where I can get more information?

Thanks,
Mike

Is it a wrist or pocket watch? A photo would be useful, thanks.

Ministere de la guerre was used until the 1950s. I suspect you have something more like 1945-1950 rather than WWI
