Hi, found this at the weekend and I wonderd if it looks right to you, I know very little about watchs but am getting interested in military timepieces. Is it worth having this fixed? And how much would it be worth if I do? thanks for any help.   |

Thanks for that, I have thought of some more questions. Firstly what sort of strap would this have had originally? Also presumably these would have been very expensive for the british goverment when new, so would not have been issued to everybody. Who would have received one? And I am right in assuming this is WWII? Sorry if these questions are all rather basic and amueterish but I am a rookie in this subject. |

I don't thionk it was an expensive watch when they bought it. It's chrome plated brass and has a relatively cheap movement. They were issued to the British Army en masse from 1944 to about 1958. |

once again thanks for the info, I have taken it to the watchsmith today, so my descision to repair will be if I can afford it or not! |
