This looks OK to me except that the hands seems to be in a different state of detoriation, ie the hour hand and the minute hand - are any of these original to the watch. They are not properly aligned and the marks on the dial also suggest that something (amateurish) has happened here. The seconds hand is bent and original ??? So the question to the boards is - is this a frankenwatch or not ?

I think other than the problems you describe, the watch is OK. For comparision, one I sold not too long ago:

Looking at the one you sold it seems like the hands are of the original type- whats your opinion? Maybe one of them was replaced sometime with another original, or could they look so different and be an original pair ?

To me a swap of original handtypes is Ok so I dont mind, but maybe this is not acceptable to collectors ?

I have the exact watch originally shown with the serial D 3514 H on the back. It was given to me by my grandfather who claimed it was a WW2 german watch. Could anybody give a little more info and an approx value. Unfortunately I do not have a good enough camera for a close up photo, but it is in very good working original condition the only flaw is the lume paint on the numbers on the dial has faded quite a lot
