Hope you can help. The watch has no name on the face or mechanism and isn't incabloc protection. the back is stamped with H.S arrowhead 9 below that 2030, see attachment.
Do you think it could be a Lemania? Any other info as to who could repair the face for me in the UK, and the history of this type of watch would be fantastic.

Yes, It's a Hydrographic Service watch, British Navy 1960s. I have original NEW OLD STOCK dials for this watch for $200. Waaay better than any sort of restoration.

Thanks Zaf for the info on the Lemania, I'am having the watch serviced at the moment, if it runs well I may invest in one of you faces. I assume you need to be a good watch maker to fit them. What would the original strap been like, and if restored how much would the watch be it be worth?

The watch is worth about $1500-1600 with a perfect dial (which I have), but only 2 left.

Strap would most likely have been a nylon nato style.

I think I may have just acquired a very similar watch - currently waiting for it to arrive. From the very poor pic I have it looks like the hands on my watch have been changed. Could you please tell me what the correct length of hour and minute hands are for this watch?
Also, why would the Lemania and broadarrow be missing from the dial?
Kind regards
Dave

"sterile" dials are a legit dial variant for this model. Sorry, I do not have exact hand lengths.
