I have a pocket watch that i know for sure is from germany, my uncle brought it over when he was in the RAF. That's all i know, could anyone tell me what it is and the value? Looks like a genuine Lange & Sohne, deck watch or comparing watch used by the Kreigsmarine. Retail value is $3000-5000. It depends on the case really. Is it silver or nickel? Does the case number match that of the movement, etc... |

Thank you for the quick reply, I think it's sliver, although i'm not too sure, i haven't checked the case number and movement number as i wouldn't know how. |

You should be able to pop the case with a one-side razor or thin pocket knife. It will have a secondary case back called a "Cuvette" which will show the brand nane, the serial number. If you pop the cuvette you'll gain access to the movment. |
