This watch measures Greenwich Sidereal Time in hour angles, minutes and minutes of arc. It is housed in a anti-magnetic aluminum case which was electrically heated and lighted. There is a 1932 wrist version of it called the Siderograph 18 which came with a calibre 37.9 movement. This watch differs from the Lindbergh Hour Angle which was based on mean solar time which is 3 minutes and 56 seconds longer than the sidereal(star) day. |
