First post.
I have a Vietnam watch I got while serving over there. It is a MILW3818B by Benrus. I have worn it for many years and need to have the stem repaired..it came out but I still have it.
I would like to have it serviced and have read that they can re-do the luminescent hands.
Would this detract from the value/originality of the watch?
Thanks

Generally speaking, I would not touch the lume on the dial unless it has not aged gracefully. If it's cosmetically attractive, leave it alone.

As far as the service, fixing the stem issue should be pretty easy as the parts relating to the stem are still available.
