Here are my two first pocket watches. They are Breitling/Wakmann military. One of them is in perfect working condition, the other was broken. Does anyone know the value of thess pieces? I'm considering restoring them and want to know how much I should spend on them. The two watches are identical except for the movement. The dials are beautiful and signed Breitling. The back cases also signed Breitling. The movements however signed Wakmann. One has 17; one has 18 jewels. Here are some pictures of the good one: Followed are pictures of the one that's broken: The movement is rusty and not working. I was told the mindspring was broken. The small hands are missing as well. Any suggestion for the watchmaker who can work on this piece? Local in NYC is great, if not, I'm willing to ship it too. Thanks, Mee+ |

In nice running condition with correct markings on the back, they are worth about $700. I can have them looked at if you don't find anyone in NYC. Zaf |

It sure has the look of GMT timepiece. But the German had no use for a GMT since they never produced long range heavies. Bombardier |
