Zenith Watch company was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot at Le Locle in the Canton of Neuchatel, Switzerland. Georges Favre-Jacot recognized the importance of the interchangeability of parts, consequently preparing the change from craftmanship to the industrial era. By 1875 Zenith employed 10% of the local population.

The world over Zenith has been acclaimed for its technical and aesthetic perfection, featuring in exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Montreal and New York. Since 1903 Zenith has been awarded 1,565 first observatory prizes in Chronometry, making Zenith the most rewarded Swiss Watch brand for its precision and reliability.
